Millennium Hotel and Resorts scoops Hospitality Standards Awards
Hospitality Standards Institute (H.S.I.) each year holds its annual awards ceremony which
recognises hospitality training achievements across New Zealand. They are represented by a number
of significant organisations, both local and multinational hotel and fast food chains.
This year, Millennium Hotels and Resorts NZ, incorporating Millennium, Copthorne and Kingsgate
hotel brands, submitted four entries, each of which was selected as a finalist.
On Monday 14 June 2010, the finalists attended the awards ceremony, held at the Langham Hotel in
Auckland. The results were as follows:
Excellence in Training Organisation 2010
Winner: Millennium Hotels & Resorts NZ (Third consecutive year winner)
Excellence in Workplace - Accommodation
Winner: Millennium Hotel Christchurch
Trainer of the Year 2010
Winner: Joanne Simpson - Millennium Hotels & Resorts NZ
Supreme Award -Training Excellence in the Hospitality Industry
Winner: Millennium Hotels and Resorts NZ
