A legendary American rock band having sold over 40 million albums worldwide, the Doobie Brothers have built an unparalleled legacy. With electrifying performances extending through the seventies and eighties up until today, they continue to enjoy global appeal and interest, with hits such as ‘ What a Fool Believes’, ‘Long Train Runnin’ and ‘Listen to the Music’.

Their latest album titled ‘World Gone Crazy’ was released in 2010 unfolding another fascinating chapter in one of the greatest American music stories. The album’s content is described to be an expression of emotional and aggressive performances with world class musicianship, unapologetic attitude and evocative storytelling. It is their thirteenth studio album which garnered them their highest charting position on the Billboard top 200 albums chart, since 1989.

Along with Little River Band, the Doobie Brothers will be headlining the Gibbston Valley Winery Summer Concert scheduled to take place at Gibbston Valley Station on 11 February 2012. The inaugural edition of this concert held on 5 March 2011 was graced by the performances of well known bands, Dr. Hook and Creedence Clearwater Revival. The event gained the reputation of being the first international concert to be held in Queenstown since 2003. An annual concert for the award-winning winery, the outdoor event has already earned a position among the most popular Queenstown concerts.

Offering an incredible range of year-round activity for all ages amidst a spectacular alpine environment, Gibbston Valley is located at the heart of Queenstown’s Lakes District. Famous for its many vineyards and award-winning wine producers, Gibbston Valley is popularly referred to as the ‘ Valley of Vines’ and affords an inimitable viticulture experience.
