People planning a stay in a Hamilton hotel could catch a bit of live sport while they are in New Zealand.

The city's Claudelands Arena will play host to a fight between All Blacks rugby star Sonny Bill Williams and the current title holder Richard Tutaki for the New Zealand heavyweight boxing title.

The event - billed as the Battle for the Belt - will take place on February 8th and might be the perfect night out for those enjoying a break in Hamilton.

Visitors of all kinds may find tickets are within their budget as prices range from NZ$43 (£21.32) to NZ$500.

Williams is quoted by the Waikato Times as saying: "I've only had four fights. I'm in the deep end there but I believe, as a sportsman, if you don't test yourself you don't know where you're at."

Those seeking a slightly different event might like to head to the International Tattoo & Art Expo, which is set to take place at the venue on February 25th and 26th.
