News|Alzarin Lizard coming to GreymouthThe quartet will be performing in the town's Franks venue on Friday (January 27th) as part of their The Weekend Went Without You tour. Describing their sound on their Facebook page, Alzarin Lizard said: "Like a Monkey being baptised in a lake of banana, cookies and cream - real fruit ice cream. The desire to love and worship the flavourful cacophany can't be helped." The group, which includes Paul Cathro, Benjamin Sargeant, Chris Miller and Logan Hampton, state their music most closely fit the genres of pop and psychedelic. Alzarin Lizard was founded in 2008 and the outfit say they are young men who want to ignore the "real world" by "living in one huge musical party". Preview pictures of the band's new album can be seen on their blog alongside a running journal of their tour. Book your Stay at the Kingsgate Hotel Greymouth ![]() 24/01/2012 |
