It will be one of eight gigs the artist is playing across New Zealand in a tour she has already started with a show at Auckland's Kings Arms Tavern yesterday (January 26th) and another at Yot Club in Raglan today. Described as an "enchanting songstress", Coddington will be backed by a band of three as she plays songs off of her recently released second solo album Cat & Bird. Guitarist Ned Ngatae, drummer Riki Gooch and bassist Mike Hall will be performing as part of the group. The singer explained the tracks she wrote for Cat & Bird "are me imagining what it would be like to be someone else, or taking a small emotion or thought and amplifying it". "A lot of these songs are celebrations and assurances and assertions," she added. Book your stay at the Kingsgate Hotel Dunedin
