News|Macbeth to be performed in Auckland parkThe Shakespearean play will be performed at the Pumphouse Amphitheatre in Killarney Park in the shore of Lake Pupuke in Takapuna. Directed by James Bell, the production will be held at 20:00 local time on January 20th, 24th, 26th, 28th and 31st. In February, it will be played on the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 8th and 10th at the same time, with adult tickets prices at NZ$24 (£12.58). "No play contains greater poetry and the chanting of the witches has thrilled thousands. A nocturnal drama - dark settings and dark deeds - witch country indeed," the Pumphouse remarked. Anthony and Cleopatra, another Shakespeare play, is also being performed at the Amphitheatre between January 17th and February 11th as part of the venue's Something Wicked This Way Comes season.
