Visitors to Wellington hotels may enjoy celebrating with the locals at this year's Summerfest 2012.

The event will be held on February 26th at the Worser Bay Boating Club and all proceeds go toward Worser Bay School.

Attendees will get to meet special guests, listen to live entertainment and enjoy fine food and drink.

"Wellington's Miramar is not just about the film industry," the organisers said. "The peninsular is increasingly recognised for its culinary fare."

Tuatara beer, Foxten fizz, wine and cider will be among the beverages on hand, while food will include tasters from local restaurant La Boca Loca Taqueria, the chief for which Chris Martinez will provide cooking tips.

Other guests include National Radio commentator and beer expert Neil Miller, while Dan Green of Habit & Veil and Scottish jazz artist John Rae will be among the artists offering live entertainment.

The website for the Miramar Peninsula says visitors can enjoy beaches, scenery and boutique shops.
