Visitors staying in a Wellington hotel in February may be in seventh heaven if they like rugby.

The world cup may be a distant memory - albeit a very happy one for the locals - but the oval ball game will be much in evidence on February 3rd and 4th as the New Zealand Sevens tournament takes place.

Those who fancy a distinctly local element in their visit to Wellington may wish to visit the country's national parliament.

The parliament has its own visitor centre and guided tours can be undertaken, including a close look at the 'Beehive' debating chamber.
