People visiting the Monteith CheeseFest next month are likely to be searching for Auckland hotels to rest during their stay.

The event is held in the city on February 29th and is described by the organisers as being "the ultimate food lover's experience".

Over 400 different kind of cheese will be available to sample as well as a free glass of Monteith's beer or Yealands wine.

The festival represents the largest collection of New Zealand cheese ever gathered into one room and attendees may get a good offer, as the NZ Specialist Cheesemakers Association stand is selling its stock at bargain prices.

Visitors will also have the chance to speak to the people who make the dairy product to improve their knowledge of the food, while using the cash bar to keep refreshed with beers and wines.

Monteith's owns bars across New Zealand, including in Taupo, Auckland, Hamilton, Palmerston North and Wellington.
