People may need to book into Auckland hotels quickly to grab a space, as rooms may be in demand as the city's International Busking Festival approaches.

The event will begin on Friday (January 27th) and continue for four days, ending on Monday.

It will feature 11 street performers from around the world - Nickey Fynn, Sir R Wolley, Bob at Large, Mickey J, the Blingling Bro's, Lisa Lottie, Victor Rubilar Hiyro, Reuben DotDotDot and The Wally Show.

The diverse group of artists are based in the US, Thailand, England, New Zealand, Australia, Sweden, Argentina and Japan.

"Our performers are ready to rock your socks off with their incredible skills of contortion, acrobatics, dangerous stunts, magic, comedy, hula hoops and more," the organisers stated.

The acts will be held in Vulcan Lane, Downtown Westfield, Princes Wharf, Viaduct Harbour Entrance and at the co-occurring Seafood Festival.

Night shows will also be held, hosted by Mr Fungus.
