people of Auckland. Having an impressive record, the much awaited event has attracted great
attention around the world, having an estimate of nearly 70,000 participants of which 4000 are
registered runners.
The Ports of Auckland’s Round the Bays 2012 will be a joint collaboration between Fairfax
Media and the Auckland Joggers Club. Playing a pivotal part in organising the grand event, the fun
run will take place along the contours of Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour. Held on Sunday 18 March
2012, travellers can look forward to running over a flat course of 8.4km long. Prepare to start at
Quay Street and finish at the city’s iconic waterfront of St. Heliers Bay.
